Ashes
Ashes was a wild rescue; she was found at a crematory when she was about six weeks old. I wasn't supposed to keep Ashes, but her forever home bailed out last minute and she became my little shadow. Everywhere I go in the house (she's indoor only), she follows. She sleeps under the covers with me as well. Ash is a darling that always wants to be nearby wherever I am. Most of the cats that I've had in life have been fairly independent, and this one is the opposite. If there's a door closed between us, Ash is trying to get her paws underneath it to "dig" me out of my "prison". The only place that she's not within 6 feet of me is when I'm soaking in the tub; she's good on that one, she thinks.

Ash is pretty mellow and will let me carry her around however, dress her up for holidays, and put medicine on her when she needs it. She actually seems to like being dressed up for Halloween and will sit in view of the doorway so the trick or treaters can see her from a safe distance. She made an an adorable jack-o-lantern this past year; her and Star had matching costumes and both kept them on all night without issue or fuss. I had to buy her a onesie recently because she had a hot spot near her tail and she let me put that on her pretty easily. That one she didn't care for; I'd ordered up in size because she's thicker across the chest and it made the neck/legs too wide/long for her and fit awkwardly. But she didn't do the faint-fall or flip out like some pets will; she dealt with it until I decided that she was more uncomfortable in that and was willing to put up with the topical treatment just fine without needing a suit.

I call Ash my little bear because she will sit in my lap like a teddy bear, with her back legs kicked out front like a person almost and her front arms or paws over my arm. She will sit there and purr and look around, watch movies with me, or fall asleep in my arms sitting up.
On the topic of watching movies: we have a slight conflict between us. Ashes is afraid of horror movies. I don't know what it is that gets her specifically, but whenever a type of music is playing or people are talking fast and/or screaming, Ash buries her head in my arm or leaves the room, and sometimes cries. Sometimes I'll put a movie on my tablet and let her watch that while I'm going to sleep. I have an actual video of her watching Frozen 2 with her feet tucked up under her while in bed. You can't make this stuff up.

Star
Star was adopted from a surprise bunny litter during the Covid shutdown. His mother was a Holland Lop and father was a Hotot; Star has an ear from each parent and is marked like a cow. I won the rabbit lottery with this guy. He doesn't chew on ANYTHING except what he's supposed to, he doesn't bite, he uses a litterbox, and he loves being petted. He will be instant friends with anyone that offers him pets. He lives in an X-pen and is supervised free roam, so he often comes into my room just to hang out. When he wants to be petted he'll nudge with his nose and then flatten out on the ground like a pancake; sometimes he'll kick his little boots out behind him as well. It's not uncommon to walk into the living room and see him posing like "one of your French girls" in the middle of the floor because he's so chill.

Star is very comfortable with the cats in the house (there's one other cat but they aren't mine). He runs up to both of them and wants to snuggle. He will jump onto the coffee table sometimes if one of the cats is up there lounging and just lie down with them. Ever seen a rabbit on a table? With a CAT? It's a weird sight.

Star's favorite "game" is "chase". I walk up to him, make a half-hearted attempt to "catch" him with both hands, and I make a "PHEW" sound as I barely swipe his fur. He will then "binky" (it's a happy bunny bounce where they flop their ears mid-jump) and run a few feet away... and wait for me to do it again. He's not making much attempt to run, and will let me "catch" him so that I can pet him for a while. He will close his eyes and tooth purr (bunnies grind their teeth in rhythm when they are enjoying something) until either of us decides we're done.
