📔 Bullet Journaling ✍đŸģ

Bullet journals, or bujos, have made life a lot easier for me with a little bit of micromanaging. I started about five years ago (yeah, Covid shutdown inspired me to try something new) and got more into it over the years. I get that the point of these is to keep them very simple and to the point, but I'm one of the people that likes to decorate as I go. The reason: Decorated pages will hold my attention for longer than a relatively boring page.

📔 My Journals 📖

This is my current journal. At the rate I'm filling out pages I'll be done wiht it by September. I have an A5 and a B5; the B5 is my daily, and the A5 is my spending journal where I record all the daily spending I do per month. That's helping me see how much money is flowing out versus flowing in.

This one is a grail journal; I have both an A5 and a B5 of it, and can't bring myself to use either of them. The site runs out of this one first when they restock (and kind of long periods between restocks), so I'm not the only one hoarding it.

I bought this one off Mercari because it was never available and the seller had it for half-price, brand new. I haven't used it and don't know where I should. The photo isn't great; there's a crescent moon on the cover.

Man,I couldn't believe my luck when I got the email that this was a new release. It's a tropical drink, just like the theme of Sip Clique! I had been talking about the idea of Sip Clique with ChaoticGoode in the middle-to-end of March, and this was released on April 1st. You bet your bippy that I bought it (and a backup in case of user's remorse) in B5. It's currently on its way.

📈 Page Spreads 🏆

  • Monthly goals- I highlight these when I complete them. Usually they're to pay down a certain amount of money on my credit cards, keep X amount of money in my accounts, purge more things than I buy, clean my desk up, etc.
  • Money tracking- keeping an eye on my bank account and my credit card balances and payments.
  • No-Spend days- I get to highlight the days that I successfully spent $0. This has been incredibly helpful in watching how often I get takeout or go online shopping.
  • Temptations- this is purgatory for things I want to buy, so I have to think about them for at least a week before buying/deciding against.
  • Self care bingo- I write in self care tasks (30 in total) and highlight the nice things I get to do for myself.
  • Daily/weekly pages- where I get to write and decorate the most; tasks done, events of the day, appointments, etc.
  • Purge page- my decluttering list. I have a LOT of stuff it seems and am trying to get rid of at least 10 things per month. This also helps motivate me to clean!
  • Workout challenges- I do these every other month. While motivating, they're my least favorite.
  • Calendar spread- Important dates, daily tasks (usually workout or game related), and art tasks (finish this or that project, work on X, and so on).
