About Me
I'm Nevere, or PeachLantern. This is my (currently) tropical escape place to hang out in and update after work. I work in the medical field/medical adjacent and pixel art is a way for me to wind down and destress after I get home. The tropical vibe is bringing me absolute joy lately, so I'm going to milk that feeling for as long as I can. 🍹
I'm back and forth between the west coast and the southwest a lot, but the desert is my heart's home. I live there with my cat and rabbit; yes, they get along, but my cat is older and a little ornery so she likes time to herself where the bunny can't reach her. I have a page for those two on the sidebar.

About The Site
🦩 What programs do I use?
I use Animation Shop 3 and Paintshop Pro 7 (yeah, they're old as hell). I really mainly use Paintshop to save things as .png; everything else happens in AS3.
🍋🟩 Why "peach lantern"?
I wanted PeachMoon because that was the forum name I was using at the time I made this site, but it was taken (apparently just claimed and abandoned). I like the aesthetic of peaches, peach blossoms, and the color overall for a pixel website, so I ran with that. Lantern... was a spur of the moment word. I wrote it down and slept on it for a day or two, and when I came back and looked at the two words together, they looked like a website to me. Lanterns are the light in the dark and imbue a glow of comfort, safety, and talks that come about when sitting around a fire together. I wanted that feeling, even with strangers, because if you got this far we probably have something in common.
🐠 I update a lot. Pixel art and updating this site are both major stress relievers for me after working, so I loiter here a lot.

Current Infatuation:
I want to go to Hawaii pretty badly. I went once when I was a kid, but that was about 30 years ago. I have no idea where the sudden urge came from, but it definitely influenced Sip Clique's layout in a major way. There's no way that trip will happen this year, but maybe next summer, with enough saving and planning. From what I hear it's going to blow my budget away. Might be worth it, though.I'm also pretty over the top about poison dart frogs. I don't even care which color pattern, though I am partial to the blue ones. The passion dart frog is my "oc" of the year based on an autocorrect switch up, so expect that to show up here and there across various pages and clique entries.
