I got really into perfume last year and have a small collection that I am trying to not add to; I'm happy with only taking up part of a dresser top rather than the full surface!😄
Every perfume that I buy has to pass three tests.
- The 10 minute delay- does it still smell good after 10 minutes?
- Skin versus tester strip- does it smell as good on me as it does on paper?
- Walk away- do I want it enough to go back for it after I leave the store?
Here's my little collection of scents that I love.
🌺 💜
Peach Rings- Actually smells like peach ring candy. Great for spring/summer, light situations, daily outings, work friendly.
Watermelon Jam- Jolly rancher candy. A little more sacharine than Peach Rings, but great for summer daily stuff. Work friendly.
Electric Cherry- extreme Maraschino cherry scent; very bold to start, but smooths out after an hour. Great for day and night. Work safe but wear it for a while beforehand.
Miss Dior Essence- fizzy and zingy. Great for spring/summer daily outings, nights out, and special events. Work friendly.
my go-to scents on repeat ✨
- Cherry
- Lychee
- Passionfruit
- Vanilla
- Tonka Bean
- Jasmine Sambac
- Watermelon
- Dragonfruit
- Cocoa
- Elderflower
Very Good Girl- Bold and seductive, great for nights out. OK for work in more office settings.
Very Good Girl Essence- Very sexy to me. Wonderful for nights out, too suggestive to me for work.
La Bomba- Very lovely and strong hearted but not overpowering; one or two sprays is enough. Great for day and night, might be much for work.
Very Good Girl Glam- Sweet and classy, great for days and nights. Feels like a night out with friends kind of scent. Work safe but might be distracting.
Tropical Sunset- Everything about this just shouts tropical beach vacation to me. It doesn't last terribly long so it's best sprayed on lotion or vaseline spots, but it's also not overpowering in case you go all out on the spritzing. Spraying this makes me want to wear a bikini under my outfit in case of a random pool trip.
Good Girl- Fantastic scent, more of a professional scent. I'd wear this to more sophisticated events, but feel it's too strong for work.
Her- Sophisticated. I'd wear this for professional opportunities and higher office networking, for example. It has the fruit scent I love, but holds a professional boundary.
Moonlit Mist- Social, friendly scent; great for daily outings, but very mild as far as making impressions. Work friendly but not my go-to.
Bright Crystal Absolu- Springtime, friendly; great for daily less social outings. Work friendly, but not for summer/fall (humidity will make it overpoweringly saccharine).
