W.I.P.

These are some of my current works in progress. This way people who are interested can see how I see things and how the development of pixel pieces goes.

Completed stuff will be moved further down the page.

Completed Pixels

The random pixels in the forehead puff are from blind clicking. Traditional dithering wouldn't look natural on a fluffy animal (at least to me).

I tend to go back and complete some areas instead of finishing the full step of what I'm doing so that I don't lose motivation or get bored in an area.

Same goes for this one, which was murder.

It was questioned by the ice cubes aren't all square... because that's not what ice looks like in a glass. Light hits corners, parts get obscured by shadow or more ice or even the density of the liquid.

This one I rushed because I was working on so many things at the same time. Darker spots were for depth on a very small item, though admittedly I could have done that a bit better if I were patient. The bat wings look even wonkier in the WIPs because the bat is at an angle, and the "odd coloring" is to add light for detail so they don't look flat... I didn't want stamped bats. I totally made a single wave and just repasted it because I wanted it done. Yeah, it's a mess. Not my proudest piece.

The larger pixels take me days- the headers, weeks, to finish. I didn't realize that this would come into question or I would have been posting these all along. I was more worried that someone else would just keep all the WIPs and say it was theirs that *this* topic never came up.

Dolling
Time

Dolls take me between 2 hrs and 3 days, depending on size and work (job).

Pixel Art

Small pixels take about 1-3 hours.

Pixel animals (like the bison) take about a week (based on work schedule and detail needed).

Pixel headers- about 2 weeks (mostly because of work schedule).
