Pixel Dolls

I started dolling in 2002, but those ones aren't worth posting. I reordered these by year- there are long gaps between some of them because I wasn't as into it at the time, either because of videogames or school or work. I feel like each time I come "back" to it I can see things easier while outlining, shading (sometimes), etc.; things make a little more sense and I'm really happy right off the bat with what I can make. Then I get bored and it tapers off again. :P

Please keep in mind that I am partially colorblind, so if skin tones or hair colors look "off"... Β―\_(ツ)_/Β― It's not intentional, but it can't be helped anymore. Even with guides I can't fully pick what I'm going for sometimes so things might look weird. πŸ‚πŸ‚ (There's a little story on the side about it...)

  • You may adopt these dolls to put on your page. If you do, please put a link back to my page next to or near the pixel.
  • Please don't alter my art at all.
  • Please don't claim them as your own. That's not nice or honest.
  • Please don't direct link.

🌸 Some base sites may not exist anymore. If the doll does not link back somewhere, then this is likely the case.

πŸͺ» I have made some bases but I do not post them on here to keep my page family/work friendly. Not sure where Neocities sits with nude doll bases and it's not worth it to me to find out, even if it just means putting an adult tag on my page, because overall my page really doesn't require that.

Little Story...

πŸ‚πŸ‚

Story-time: Many years ago (2010) I entered the Dollpocalypse event with my NenΓ© Diniilchi doll, who is modeled to be Navajo. My idea was to come at the "end of world event" from the perspective of someone living on a reservation (from experience) rather than in a city, so I went with a few traditional and a few modern details to her.

Each entry is voted on to see if the doll/character "survives" into the next ordeal. Mine nearly didn't make it, and the top criticism was her skin tone. The comments weren't directly to me but they were public, and it was even implied that I was racist for making her skin orange. Imagine my surprise at that, for dolling my own people in the way that I see them!

A year later I found out that I have red colorblindness, or protanomaly. I was not born this way! I grew up with reds and oranges! But somewhere I started to lose reds, oranges, and browns... and had no idea until I bombed those three colors in a physical exam in 2011. Now I deal with it. There are glasses to correct it but they're pricey and I can't justify getting them just for this, though they were fun to try for a moment.
